Feast of Fun: Fighting holiday hunger in Plymouth by equipping churches to feed children and families with Meals & More support.

Feast of Fun is a family focussed project that equips churches to provide meals to children as part of wider activities and events.

We have a long-established and highly valued relationship with the national charity Meals & More, whose principal aim is to help reduce holiday hunger among children and young people during school holidays.

Through their generous financial support over recent years, we have been able to equip churches and community groups across the city to run activities and provide healthy food for those most at risk of food poverty.

As a result of this support, our church and community networks provided over 3,000 meals and delivered dozens of activities for children during 2025. In addition, we supplied and distributed 650 goody bags to children over the Christmas holiday period and supported a ‘Big Christmas Party’ organised by Hope Baptist Church.

We are keen to hear from anyone already undertaking similar activities in their community, or from those who would like to find out more about how we can support plans for provision during forthcoming school holidays.

We believe that no child in our city should be at risk of hunger at any time, but especially during school holiday periods.
